Information Security Officer

StackAdapt’s Information Security Department provides security services to the organisation globally. As part of the Engineering organisation, the Information Security Department is directly engaged in securing software development and release processes. For the wider organisation, we also provide advisory services to better enable the business to function, as well as providing operational security services in order to continually enhance enterprise-level security posture and proactively reduce information security risk to within tolerable levels. For StackAdapt customers, we aim to instil trust that our organisation and products meet security standards. 

As StackAdapt’s Information Security Officer, you will be directly involved in enabling StackAdapt to succeed in the most secure way possible by managing risk, empowering decision-making and developing a healthy security culture. Reporting to StackAdapt’s Director of Information Security, you will liaise with a number of wider StackAdapt business departments (e.g. Internal Audit, Business Operations, Legal, Procurement, etc.) in order to drive enhancements to security posture across the organisation, as well as achieving shared goals and objectives. 

StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in the UK, USA or Canada for this position.

• Monitoring and advising on all aspects of StackAdapt’s information security governance, risk and compliance programs.

• Proactively identifying and mitigating IT / security risks, as well as developing periodic reports and dashboards in order to demonstrate the level of controls compliance and IT / security risk posture. 

• Liaising with internal StackAdapt teams (e.g. Internal Audit, Business Operations, Legal, Procurement, etc.) in order to drive enhancements to security posture across the organization, as well as achieving shared goals and objectives. 

• Enabling StackAdapt to instill trust with its customers through achieving and maintaining industry recognized security certifications, as well as championing openness and transparency in relation to existing security capabilities. 

• Supporting StackAdapt’s continuous efforts to meet compliance requirements, for example detailing and evidencing key security controls and mechanisms to external auditors. 

•Demonstrable experience implementing information security controls, policies and risk management frameworks. 

•Exposure to working with audit teams (e.g. Internal Audit, External Audit). 

•Solid knowledge of industry information security frameworks, such as ISO 27001/2, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, SOC 2, etc. 

• Strong communication skills, with an ability to influence senior stakeholders, as well as an ability to educate non-technical audiences about various security measures.

• Security / IT Audit Certification is beneficial, such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, Security+, etc.
