We are seeking an experienced professional to join our forward-leaning and fast-growing Trust & Security team to lead investigations and analysis for our globally-consistent and legally-compliant Insider Risk Program. The Global Insider Risk Program (the Program) is a cornerstone of security at Twilio. What You’ll Be Doing
This role blends investigations and insider risk analysis functions. This person will support the Program by leading and resolving complex global insider risk investigations and analysis, including but not limited to matters relating to the theft of sensitive data, workplace violence, internal fraud, IT sabotage, and acceptable use violations. Specifically, this person will:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day investigations, analysis, and case management within the Insider Risk Program
- Lead investigations, gather evidence, and compile investigative reports for referral, as needed
- Collect, review, interpret, correlate, and analyze technical and non-technical indicators of possible insider risk activity
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Program partners (e.g., Legal, ER/HR, Privacy, Security)
- Leverage cutting-edge technology, such as User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, and non-traditional/non-technical tools to proactively identify and respond to insider risk matters
- Maintain metrics and regularly report results to the Insider Risk Program Lead and Director of Information Security
- Participate in the Monthly Insider Risk Mitigation Working Group, and other forums as necessary
- Author and maintain runbooks, as needed
- Support program growth and maturity efforts, as needed
What You Bring to the Table
Twilio is looking for an Insider Risk Investigator who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of leading an investigative program. This person has/is:
- 5+ years of experience leading insider risk/threat investigations
- 5+ years of experience and/or certification in security, cybersecurity, investigations, law enforcement, or counterintelligence roles
- Experience working technical investigations
- Experience working cross-functionally
- Comfortable leading highly confidential, complex investigations to resolution
- Excellent interpersonal, judgement, and critical thinking skills
- An ability to self-organize, prioritize activities independently, create documentation and reporting
- Possess excellent communication and analytical skills, both orally and in writing
- Experience and knowledge of local and regional laws and regulations regarding data privacy (e.g., CCPA, GDPR, PDPA, etc)
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is ideal
- Experience with forensics tools such as EnCase, FTK Imager, etc. is ideal
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience in a related field
- Demonstrated ability to perform data manipulation and analysis in order to draw conclusions and develop metrics

In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well.
Salary:
Denver/Boulder Metro:
Salary Range: $109,824 - $151,008
Rest of Colorado:
Salary Range: $96,096 - $132,132
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
