The Role
As an Integrity Analyst, you will use your experience with betting to work within Genius Sports’ integrity team in London or New York, and closely with our other departments elsewhere throughout the world. Using the company’s proprietary data and software solutions, you will be part of a team responsible for identifying anomalous betting patterns and compiling reports for our clients – major sports leagues, competitions and federations across the globe.
The successful applicant preferably has experience of working within the betting industry but should have sound knowledge of the fundamentals of betting. They must also possess a good overall knowledge of popular sports, with a particular focus on golf, as well as a preferred knowledge of major sports such as football (soccer), tennis, basketball and/or other major US sports.
Main Responsibilities
- To investigate odds movements and other betting patterns using our proprietary data, monitoring systems and other external sources.
- Contribute with the production of professional level reports explaining the betting markets clearly and concisely for non-betting experts, using a high standard of (English) written communication.
- Work with our development team to continually review and improve the internal software and reporting solutions.
- Liaise with our various internal trading departments to ensure all relevant aspects of the sporting event and betting market are explained.
- Continual assessment and review of the relevant betting markets (i.e. stake limits, the extent of bookmaker coverage and new market types).
Required Skills
- Ideally an undergraduate, with an excellent standard of written English.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of mainstream sports betting.
- A general understanding of how betting markets work would be a prerequisite, whilst detailed knowledge of the global betting landscape (for instance, Asian/off-shore markets) would be strongly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills, with competence in maths.
- Ability to prioritise work, operate in a proactive manner and remain flexible in a dynamic environment.
- Possess a good eye for detail to ensure their work meets a professional standard.
