TLDR
Develops and maintains the Medicaid EDI framework and Web Portal, applying Java, web technologies, and integration skills in a production-support context.
This Project Team develops and supports the Framework and Functionality of the State's MEDICAID EDI services and the MEDICAID Web Portal Application.
DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
The software engineer is responsible for assessing, designing, developing, implementing, and supporting the State's EDI services effort and any other projects, as assigned. The position will be a part of a production support group.
REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
- Java
- Web Development (Tapestry, HTML, JavaScript, Jquery)
- Web Services (REST, SOAP, WSDL)
- EDI Transaction Sets (270/271, 276/277, 837)
- ActiveMQ
- SQL and Stored Procedures
- Spring Security
- JDBC
- Unix Environment/scripting
OTHER SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Business field
- 10+ years experience in MEDICAID systems, specializing in web development, REQUIRED.
SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Effective communication skills (written and oral), adaptability, flexibility, self-motivation, problem solving, analytical thinking, time management, ability to work effectively in a stressful environment
