About the role

As a Junior Finance Support Specialist, you will be responsible for a broad range of activities. These include responding to financial inquiries from customers and executing related actions, as well as delivering essential financial data to the leadership team. In addition to daily operational tasks, there is a strong focus on continuously improving global financial processes. You will actively contribute to cross-functional projects and help optimize financial workflows. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of your responsibilities and manage shifting priorities effectively, all within a dynamic, international scale-up environment in the electric vehicle industry.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Responding to financial inquiries from customers and independently following up in a timely manner, for example by creating and processing credit notes.

  • Assisting in the billing process, including reviewing and processing invoices and identifying discrepancies.

  • Performing daily financial tasks, such as maintaining sub-ledgers and processing transactions.

  • Verifying data for accuracy and completeness, contributing to a reliable and up-to-date administration.

  • Maintaining close contact with the support department to resolve customer inquiries efficiently and professionally.

  • Actively contributing to the improvement and simplification of processes within the financial and customer service chain.

Requirements

What do we look for in our candidates?

  • HBO or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting, finance, financial operations, or customer support. We welcome both starters and candidates with 1+ years of experience.

  • Experience with financial support tasks (e.g. creating credit notes, invoice or payment support) is highly valued.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong Excel skills with a detail-oriented and analytical mindset.

  • Takes ownership, works independently, and is proactive in solving problems.

  • Able to bring structure to a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • A collaborative team player who continuously looks for ways to improve processes and drive operational excellence.
