The Role:
StackCommerce is looking to bring on a talented and motivated Junior Designer to help create digital marketing assets for our e-commerce brands. Reporting into the Design Lead, you’ll work closely with our copywriters and marketers to design a wide spectrum of compelling assets, including email newsletters, social ads, and site banners. You are strategic, eager to learn, and have an eagle eye for elevated design.
What You’ll Do:
- Design marketing emails, social ads, and site assets while seamlessly maneuvering between varying aesthetics to meet brand standards
- Ideate new and innovative creative for our social media campaigns (static, motion and video)
- Assist with developing and updating internal and external decks, one sheets and case studies as needed
- Retouch lifestyle and product photography images as needed
- Collaborate on brainstorming, concepting, executing and refining projects
- Maintain a digital library of all creative for internal use
- Take ownership of projects from concept through production while collaborating with various teams working within the creative review process
- Contribute to a culture of continual creative improvement and innovation
- Stay in tune with current design/marketing trends for social media, web, and mobile platforms
- BONUS: Understanding of 3D rendering
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or another related field.
- 1-2 years of working experience as a designer working for an in-house brand or agency preferred
- Online portfolio that demonstrates examples of relevant design work
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Premiere
- An excitement to see your work live across our 100+ partner sites
- An exceptional eye for detail in layout, composition, typography, and brand adherence
- Organized self-starter who can work independently with little direct supervision
- Ability to transition between multiple projects and tasks seamlessly to meet tight deadlines
- Experience in working in a collaborative environment
- Positive attitude and ability to receive feedback constructively
- Open to new ideas and willing to push the limits of your abilities
- BONUS: Basic understanding of Figma, Dimensions and Substance
What to Expect:
Intro Call: You’ll hop on a quick call with the hiring manager so we can get to know you better — and you can learn a little more about the role.
Technical Interview: We will send over a design exercise that challenges you. Get a feel for what you’ll be doing on a daily basis!
Follow-Up Call: Chat with the Team Lead to get a broader picture of StackCommerce.
Remote-Team Interview: You’ll be meeting with 5-6 team members on a video call. This is your chance to ask questions and see who this role interacts with on a daily basis.
Final Video Call: This is a great opportunity to get to know our President over video.
