Key Account Manager Global Accounts EMEA

 
As a Key Account Manager Global Accounts you are responsible for managing the relationship we have with our existing Global Chain Accommodation Partners. You will co-create and maintain the commercial strategy to accelerate growth, and create in depth quantity and quality reports on results and performance and advise on how to optimize their performance on Booking.com. You proactively inform Global Chain Partners about the benefits of Booking.com solutions and services. You will be responsible for the improvement of Global Chain Partner’s availability and supply in order to support Booking.com in meeting the demands of the visitors on the Booking.com website.
 
The Global Accounts team is based in Amsterdam and is part of the hotels department, and is the team that is responsible for managing the relationships with all major Hotel Chains worldwide. As part of this team you will need to work closely with other departments such as Connectivity, Hotel Innovations, Credit Control and the Hotels teams based in Booking.com’s local and regional offices within the EMEA region. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate strong networking skills in order to connect with different stakeholders within Booking.com as well as within the Hotel Industry. 
 
This full-time position will be based in our Amsterdam office.
 
B.responsible
  • Coordinates the involvement of Booking.com B.V internal teams, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and expectations.
  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with decision makers in assigned Global Chain accounts.
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
  • Ability to identify chain partner key objectives and major pain points and to build an adapted value proposition leveraging existing & new products, services & solutions developed at Booking.com, while making sure this results in a positive financial contribution.
  • Ability to animate and engage a global accounts community bringing together, keeping informed, aligning & steering all regional & national KAMs working on the same account in their respective geographical areas.
  • Support Booking.com BV’s-strategy for Key Global Chain Partners.
  • Create in depth Global Account profiles that show understanding of the complexity of the Account.
  • Train, consult, monitor, support internal and external stakeholders in handling the Key Accounts in order to optimize their performance.
  • Securing our relationship and optimizing our partnership on a decision making level with Key Accounts of Booking.com B.V.
  • Analyze Key Accounts on global level, national level and on local/Property level.

Knowledge
  • In depth knowledge of the online travel industry;
  • Financial Acumen – Reporting, Analytics, forecasting and revenue management strategies;
  • Preparation of the Strategic Business and Operating Plans;
  • Strong knowledge of Channel Management;
  • Strong knowledge of Booking.com competitive landscape;
  • Excellent knowledge of Booking.com solutions and services is preferred;
  • Fluent English speaker and writer.
Qualifications
  • University background in Hospitality is preferred
  • Driver’s license is a plus;
  • Availability up to travel 50% of the time.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong networking skills in order to connect with different internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to adjust communication style depending on the stakeholder;

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years strategic sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment;
  • Experience within e-travel and/or hotel/travel industry is a plus.
