Role Purpose
At RedMart we use technology to delight our customers; we innovate to make our customers’ lives better. Your primary role is to support the fulfillment operation and maintain the automated warehouse system with minimal unscheduled downtime.
Key tasks and responsibilities
The primary areas of responsibility of the Lead Automation Maintenance Technician will be to :
- Plan, schedule, coordinate and execute specialized technical work activities, e.g. Predictive and Preventive Maintenance performed by in-house Maintenance Team or External Vendor
- Promptly and correctly update maintenance documentation via the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Lead emergency/unscheduled/scheduled troubleshooting and repairs of automated warehouse equipment
- Impart mechanic skills to Maintenance Technicians and Internship Students including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
- Read and Interpret maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, work orders, mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to perform required maintenance, servicing and troubleshooting
- Ability to work in cold refrigerated environment
- Lead all assigned personnel (subordinates, in-house contractors, ad-hoc contractors etc.) to perform Daily, Ad-Hoc & Demand Maintenance to ensure all such activities are executed safely to achieve target of zero injury and accident, efficiently and within schedule
- Develop Short and Long Term Maintenance Plan and Critical Spare Part List
- Draft and revise maintenance work procedures and work instructions
- To analyze data of plants’ critical equipment (from predictive and preventive maintenance activities) and make necessary recommendations and/ or countermeasures
- Provide prompt and effective technical support to stakeholders including, but not limited to, Operation Teams and Facility Team
- Ensure urgent work requests are attended to promptly and completed satisfactorily
- Lead and conduct precise troubleshooting of complex problems, working with relevant stakeholders to study the problems systematically and identify effective countermeasures
- Solve equipment / system problem(s) through recognised methodologies like root cause analysis

Qualifications / Relevant Work Experience

Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma from Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Mechanical / Instrumentation Engineering or related disciplines
- 7-8 Years of experience working in pharmaceutical/nutritional/food/beverage manufacturing facility and automated warehouse is preferred. Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC experience
- Experience in 5S
- Competent in use of Google Drive / Docs / Sheets / Slides
