Are you an expert in high-end routing and optical networking? Great Plains Communications is looking for a Lead Transport Network Engineer to join our team in NE, IA, IN, or CO.
The Impact You’ll Make:
You will be the technical powerhouse behind our 19,000-mile fiber network. From architecting SR-MPLS solutions to leading new network turn-ups, you’ll ensure our infrastructure remains state-of-the-art for our residential, business, and carrier customers.
What You’ll Bring:
- The Tech Stack: Deep experience with Cisco, Ciena, BGP, OSPF/ISIS, and DWDM.
- The Experience: 5+ years supporting large-scale environments.
- The Mindset: A team-first attitude with a hunger for continuous learning and mentoring others.
- Bonus Points: Industry certs (CCNP, Ciena), automation skills (Python/Ansible), or experience with Accedian/Ciena NIDs.
