Where we need help

We are a fast growing brand looking to expand our brick and mortar footprint globally. With ~40 stores currently open, we are just scratching the surface. We need to build our real estate team to effectively manage all things real estate related, including negotiations, processes and analysis. 

What does the job entail? 

• Help execute Allbirds retail real estate strategy globally 
• Manage the day-to-day pipeline activity to maintain on time schedules and deal momentum
• Negotiate LOIs and leases in partnership with our brokers and attorneys, and coordinate key decisions with internal stakeholders
• Travel to different markets to evaluate locations and determine our best option(s). 
• Manage lease administration along with our accounts payable and legal team
• Create presentations for deal approval to the Real Estate Committee 
• Interface with internal stakeholders across legal, finance, retail and other functions to ensure compliance and optimization of leases
• Coordinate with store design and construction teams from site selection to store opening.
• Work alongside our data team to understand our data to provide recommendations for new store locations.

What are we looking for?

• A strategic thinker and a seasoned deal maker that has worked inside a high-growth brand, an institutional landlord, or a combination of both. 
• A strong negotiator who is familiar with the economics and legal side of deal negotiations.
• A highly organized individual who can help coordinate the process of site selection through opening
• A cross functional partner who can work across all teams, including construction, operations, finance and accounting and can support lease administration functions. 

More practical skills needed:

• Bachelors’ degree, preferably in a business or quantitative discipline including but not limited to: finance or real estate
• 5+ years as a real estate manager (or related) at a growing retailer, an institutional landlord, or both
• Strong experience in LOI and lease negotiation processes
• Strong analytical mindset with financial modeling and forecasting
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of real estate, construction and related processes, timelines, lease principles and functions
• Excited to travel!
