Ironclad is on a mission to power the world’s contracts, and our Digital Customer Success team is a critical part of making that mission a reality. Reporting to the Director of Digital Customer Success, the Manager, Learning Experience Design will drive the content strategy and execution that create valuable learning experiences. Our goal is to use learning experiences to proactively provide customers with the guidance they need, when they need it - reducing customer effort and decreasing time to value. 

The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced instructional designer with a SaaS background, who is ready to build and lead a Learning Experience Design team from the ground up at a high-growth company. This is an opportunity not just to build amazing content, but to help hire the team and build the processes and systems we need to scale as we grow. You are an out of the box thinker, who is comfortable designing, and coaching others to design, learning experiences across multiple delivery methods, including VILT, video, eLearning, in-product guidance, workshops, and more. You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty as we’re building things out, and are comfortable switching between being a player and being a coach.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design our learning experience content strategy and provide oversight on its execution
  • Hire, coach, and manage a team of Learning Experience Designers
  • Perform deep needs analysis and design path-based curriculum for our user personas 
  • Build effective learning experiences with varying formats - including Instructor-led training, on-demand courses, micro-learning video tutorials, and written resources.
  • Design and build effective course assessments 
  • Partner with our product team, to ensure that content roadmap is in line with product evolution
  • Solicit content feedback from stakeholders and SMEs
  • Organize and create best practices for how our learning content should be structured, stored, and maintained 
  • Work cross functionally to represent LXD on strategic initiatives

What we're looking for:

  • 4+ years experience in instructional design and demonstrated knowledge of Instructional Design best practices
  • Proven ability to inspire, coach, and mentor
  • Ability to identify the best learning delivery formats for a specific set of learning goals 
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information in an accessible way
  • High degree of ability to self-manage day-to-day projects with limited oversight
  • Ability to deliver projects on time, with tight turnaround times 
  • Experience with content and video development tools (Camtasia, Rise, etc.)
  • Experience working in a Learning Management System
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Graphic design experience is a plus
