Manufacturing Assembly & Test Associate - Halifax Fan
TLDR
Assemble and test Halifax-fan products at the manufacturing facility under direct supervision, ensuring design conformity, on-time delivery, quality data, and 5S safety.

Reporting to:
Functional – Field Service and Test Engineer
Hierarchical Manager – Chief Engineer
Purpose of role:
To assemble and test Halifax-fan products at the US manufacturing facility under direct supervision of the Test Engineer.
Quality, Cost, Delivery & Safety (QCDS) responsibilities

Quality: Know the design sold, and ensure the tested assembly meets that design 100% of the time. If unsure STOP, clarify and disposition appropriately. -
Cost: Work closely with all other departments to share areas of concern with build quality, and seek systemic corrective action that prevents this from repeating. -
Delivery: Know and meet the Master Production Schedule (MPS) agreed Test/Fitting complete date. -
Safety: Maintain a no compromise Health and Safety compliant work environment. Your workspace must be 5S compliant.
Key Requirements and Responsibilities:

Fully Participate as a Member of the Fitting Team sharing responsibility for ensuring deliveries are in line with the MPS (Master Production Schedule). -
Work with other members of the Halifax team to ensure all parts are available on time and to the correct specification and cost. -
Balance Impellers (Using Halifax Fan Balancing machine) and record quality related data. -
Assemble and record quality related build information/data. -
Final test (Trim Balance) Halifax Fan products, and record quality related data. -
Trouble shoot and rectify fan vibration and/or performance issues prior to shipment. -
Validate that the product meets the specification and standards/codes of the product sold. -
Ensure zero defects prior to release of an assembly to shipping. -
Ensure all documentation is supplied with the product.
Knowledge, Skill or Ability required

Needs to be a skilled fitter/assembler of rotating equipment or similar - 3-5 years’ experience in any similar mechanical role.

Desirable – 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role. - Experience using vibration analysis equipment and processes.

Able to work on their own using instructions in written or verbal form. -
Ability to work safely in often difficult to access locations. -
Ability to lift and place parts up to 25lbs.
