Marketing Analyst, B2B
As a Senior Analyst you will become a vital part of Wayfair Professional’s Retention Marketing team, which is charged with driving existing customer growth and loyalty for Wayfair Professional.
Wayfair Professional is the company’s quickly-growing B2B arm, approaching $1.5B in revenue in a $100B+ market. We provide furniture, fixtures, and equipment to professionals working in residential and commercial settings, making their jobs easier with our outstanding selection, support, and speed. The Marketing team has tremendous capabilities and responsibilities: we own the strategy, P&L, and roadmaps for our portfolio of channels. Our job - and yours too - is to acquire every business customer in the country and bring them back again and again.
The Senior Analyst will play a critical role in developing and operating our email communications channel, one of the most powerful and adaptable marketing tools in Wayfair’s arsenal. Our team sits at the edge between Wayfair and its customers, marshalling sophisticated targeting, content, and testing capabilities to make our communications more relevant and effective. You will be responsible for the success of a key customer segment, and help the team influence Wayfair’s business strategy and technology roadmap.
What You'll Do
- Own communications strategy for a key customer segment, driving engagement and lifetime value
- Serve as an expert for your segments’ performance and strategy
- Manage day-to-day operations and an aggressive testing strategy
- Design and A/B test new algorithms, cadences, creative treatments, landing experiences, and other game-changing program initiatives
- Leverage deep analytics to root out cause trends and develop data-driven solutions to complex business problems
- Collaborate with Data Science, Marketing Engineering, Product, and Business Intelligence teams to architect uniquely innovative and value-additive products
You'll Need
- 2+ years’ experience in digital marketing, management consulting, startup/tech, finance, and/or strategy with a heavy analytical emphasis
- A total ownership mindset - ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a dynamic bias for action and a “get stuff done” attitude
- Excellent critical thinking and stakeholder management skills - ability to break down and communicate complex ideas and influence senior leaders and cross-functional partners
- Strong quantitative analytics with a technical lean - ability to generate insights and solutions or build a story and strategy from large data sets
- Holistic results/growth orientation married with entrepreneurial thinking and an insatiable intellectual curiosity - a relentless focus on driving impact and continuous improvement
- Uncompromising precision and attention to detail (zero defect analysis, quick spotting of unexpected performance/bugs, etc.)
- Proficient in SQL
- Work experience with R and Python are preferred, but not required
