Marketing Communications Intern - Dealer Network

This is a Placement Year position for a candidate currently studying a Business or Marketing related Undergraduate degree at University, seeking a placement for their 3rd year. The role will commence in August 2024. Please ensure that you have read and understood the requirements of the role before applying.


Job Purpose

To support the Retail Marketing team in the planning and implementation of regular communications impulses. Supporting the Porsche Centre network across in-Centre and digital channels. Assist with the delivery of the Retail Marketing programme across the network.


Core Responsibilities

Customer Communications

  • Support the ongoing development of materials required to support the Porsche Customer Journey(s) as defined by the Regional Marketing Managers, along with the Customer Strategy and Market Insight team
  • Support the Retail Marketing team with the development of a prospect and customer care programme (in cooperation with Ownership department)
  • Support translations process, with copy checking of Sales and Marketing communications
  • Manage the Porsche Car Configurator Mailing Project, with support and sign-off of the Regional Marketing Managers
  • Liaise with suppliers on customer communications and mailing processes, ensuring deadlines are met, data validated and copy checked.

Retail Marketing

  • Manage the creation of monthly dealer-facing tactical toolkits. A document that is utilised for important PCGB department updates
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of the Centre marketing planning process, ensuring that centre plans are aligned with PCGB objectives on an annual basis
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of new car launch events and opening events where appropriate
  • Review and communicate Porsche AG Marketing Materials (Sales Rounds) to the network, collating Centre orders and processing Centre recharges
  • Support the regular content maintenance on the Centre websites, ensuring that the content is current and that the online ‘shop window’ is accurate – as directed by Retail Marketing Executive
  • Supporting content maintenance of digital screens within Centres
  • Being brand guardian for all content reviewed
  • Awareness of relevant cross-business activity and activation where required

General:

  • Responsibility for monthly reporting across areas of responsibility working with different reporting systems
  • Ad-hoc network audits, as requested
  • Day-to-day budget administration , timely processing of Finance documents
  • Sign-off of all network communications by manager prior to distribution
  • Creating and collaboration of Porsche related content for business updates (e.g. Presentations)


Core Accountabilities

  • To understand and assist in the delivery of Marketing Communications plan, Centre Marketing plan and objectives
  • Support the Retail Marketing team, and Porsche Centre network, in the delivery of agreed programmes and initiatives
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
  • Adhere to compliance sign-off processes
  • Review and understand the core Porsche Brand Guidelines

Requirements

Requirements for the Job and Person Specification:

  • Related Studies/Qualifications:
    • Current study in Marketing or Business related degree
  • Required IT-skills:
    • Excellent level of PC literacy, including MS Office programmes (PowerPoint, Word and Excel are essential)
    • Adaptability working with new software and programmes
    • Proficient with image editing software – Photoshop or systems alike
  • Preferred language knowledge:
    • Fluent in spoken and written English
    • Knowledge or spoken and written German would be beneficial but not essential
  • Other key skills and requirements:
    • Keen interest in digital marketing and social media
    • Keen interest or knowledge of the car industry
    • A pro-active worker, self-started and good team player
    • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
    • Self-motivated, with the ability to work without constant supervision

Those who pass the first stage will be offered a Microsoft Teams interview/ Telephone interview. The final stage of the recruitment process will be an Assessment Centre, after which the successful candidate will be notified.
