Mechanical Technician - Humanoid (human)

TLDR

Lead precise mechanical assembly and commissioning of the 4NE-1 humanoid robot, collaborating with engineering to ensure high-quality prototypes and rapid iteration.

Your mission & challenges

As an Assembly and Commissioning Technician at Neura Robotics, you will be responsible for the precise mechanical assembly and commissioning of our 4NE-1 humanoid robot and its sub-assemblies. You will work closely with our development and engineering teams to ensure that our products meet the highest standards and function smoothly. This includes:

  • Mechanical design, assembly, and integration of humanoid robot system prototypes

  • Assembly of components, joints, actuators, and gearboxes

  • Reading and implementing technical drawings and CAD derivations

  • Adaptation, reworking, and optimization of components during the prototype phase

  • Support during commissioning, testing, and modifications

  • Identifying assembly problems and providing feedback to the design department

  • Handling measuring equipment for functional and quality testing

  • Documenting assembly processes and prototype modifications

  • Maintaining tools, fixtures, and workstations

What we can look forward to

Must-have:

  • Completed training as an industrial mechanic, precision mechanic, mechatronics engineer, or comparable

  • Experience in prototype construction or in the assembly of complex assemblies

  • Very good understanding of mechanical assemblies and machine elements

  • Confident reading of technical drawings

  • Manual dexterity, precise and clean working methods

  • Independent, solution-oriented working style

  • Ability to work in a team and good communication skills

  • Good language skills in German or English

  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support installations and commissioning at customer sites and at trade fairs

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in robotics, automation, or special machine construction

  • Experience with actuators, gearboxes, or mechatronic systems

  • Knowledge of electrical/electronics (e.g., cabling)
