Director, Treasury at Checkout.com 

Due to rapid expansion in the MENA region, Checkout.com is actively looking for a driven and upbeat Director to support in leading and growing the Treasury team in our Dubai office.

The ideal candidate will be well organized, adaptable to the changing demands of the role, and capable of independently working toward specific goals!

The ideal candidate is self‐motivated and directed with a positive hands-on and can-do-attitude, willing to work in an uncompromising, high pace environment.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide strategy, direction, and oversight for all Treasury activities across MENA within the Group framework
  • Act as the senior contact and escalation point for senior management and regional partners In the MENA region
  • Manage a team of up to 8-10 people initially
  • Manage all aspects of regional Treasury movements within the company’s acquiring network
  • Manage and forecast settlements, pay-outs, and daily cash flow positions
  • Devise solutions, ideas for process improvement and optimization for Treasury, key partners, and clients
  • Utilize a range of corporate banking and FinTech partners to continually optimize regional balances, liquidity, and funds available for investment, Including looking after Investment and P&L opportunities
  • Work closely with the FP&A function to plan ongoing operational & capital investment requirements
  • Oversee multi-currency processing, settlement, and payout activities, using a range of counterparties and solutions for optimal FX trading and execution
  • Manage hedging to mitigate financial risks and foreign exchange positions
  • Maintain regional and local banking relationships, in partnership with the Group Treasury Bank Partnership Relationship Management function
  • Be responsible for and manage Treasury reporting as part of ongoing MIS
  • Manage investment of excess liquidity utilizing the asset management functions of partner banks

About you:

  • 8-10+ years track record of the leading treasury in an international setup
  • Experience working with senior management, clients, and a multitude of partners
  • Experience in Payments (Acquiring / Issuing) is preferred
  • Experience using BI reporting tools (Looker/Power BI/Tableau etc) is desirable
  • Experience with financial modeling and analytics
  • Highly analytical, strategic thinker with strong ideas and foresight
  • Experience with applying supervising controls and mitigating operational and financial risk
