Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and implementation of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to develop all construction specifications and documentation for all plumbing projects. This role requires technical proficiency, rigorous attention to code compliance, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment. Open to Miami-based candidates.

This role requires a local presence, and to be considered, you must currently live in the Miami area. We are looking for someone who knows the 305!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for diverse projects for new and existing buildings.
- Act as the primary responsible engineer on assigned projects, ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop construction specifications and select appropriate equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform quality assurance reviews on project deliverables.
- Prepare technical documentation using CAD and Revit software.
- Conduct field surveys and assess existing systems.
- Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing.
- Research and apply relevant codes and standards.
- Attend project meetings and collaborate across disciplines.

Provide technical support during construction administration efforts, including shop drawing reviews and site coordination.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering (required).
- Minimum 4 years of direct experience in Mechanical Engineering design.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., TraneTrace3D).
- Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection design and MEP terminology.
- Experience with high-rise residential, hospitality, or public/institutional projects strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
- Familiarity with FL and/or NYC building codes and design regulations (preferred).
