OBIEE Systems Administrator (Remote)
CSA+Capstone is seeking an OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) Systems Administrator to support the Naval Education and Training Command in Pensacola, FL.
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Installs and configures Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 12c environments on RHEL 7.
- Creates users and roles in multiple environments.
- Deploys the RDP repository.
- Maintains existing and future OBIEE 12c / OAS (Oracle Application Server) environments on RHEL 7.
- Applies patches to fix bugs, adds new functionality and features, schedules maintenance, and installs maintenance releases.
- Installs, upgrades and configures OBIEE/OAS on RHEL 7.
- Demonstrates understanding of Weblogic and Fusion middleware administration using the Weblogic Console.
- Monitors using Oracle Enterprise Manager (EM).
- Demonstrates experience in Single Sign-on integration.
- Applies and updates quarterly security STIGS for Apache and Weblogic servers.
- Coordinates with cross infrastructure teams such as Database Administrators, and Redhat System Administration team.
- Creates schedules and cutover plans for major upgrades and complex patches.
- Clones instances for test environments and disaster recovery.
- Demonstrates understanding of design, installation, configuration, and administration of OBIEE/OAS in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Participates in design and staff meetings. Attends regularly scheduled team and planning meetings.
- Stays abreast of the standards and best practices of OBIEE administration, reporting/dashboards, and data analytics.
- Performs as the lead in troubleshooting and analyzing production OBIEE administration issues, including documentation of the root cause and any configuration changes required to resolve.
- Leads efforts for new implementations, enhancements and production support.
- Creates service requests with Oracle and work with developers, DBAs and Oracle to resolution.
- Coordinates any production migrations of administrative configurations ensuring proper audit protocols are followed.
- Reviews patch releases and makes recommendations on any system enhancements.
- Develops desk procedures and documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Six (6) years administration of OBIEE or similar system.
- Two (2) full upgrades of OBIEE or similar system as an administration lead.
- Experience with Weblogic 12c.
- Experience with Linux RHEL 7.
- Experience in development of project timelines, plans, requirements, scope, and issue documentation.
- Experience in collaborating with business owners to gather and document the requirements and functional specifications.
- Skilled in data analysis, design and redesign and configuration of production modules.
- Experience working in an ERP environment that is highly integrated with multiple modules.
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience in business process redesign.
- Experience in conducting analysis to determine any impacts to system configurations as a result of patches or upgrades.
- Experience working in a local government environment.
- Work well in a changing environment and maintain a strong positive perspective.
- Display a strong organizational commitment and interpersonal skills.
- Display teamwork within a process driven environment.
- Effectively partners and collaborate with end users and business owners who may have varied skill levels.
Clearance
- Secret clearance required.
Certifications
- IAT Level II certification required (CompTIA Security + or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
The likely salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
