Position: Office Administrator

Company: Beacon Broadband, Inc.

Salary: $22.52/hr - $27.50/hr DOE

PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Office Administrator supports the activities within the Beacon Broadband office as well as the needs of the Sales and Marketing Department. This includes such duties as answering phones, ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory, and handling staff travel and entertainment requirements. In addition, this includes working closely with Sales and Customer Service to maintain a smooth sales-to-installation process for both residential and commercial customers. This position will also work closely with the Construction, Customer Service and Installation Departments to handle Customer Relations.

Office Administration 40%

·        Support the Beacon Broadband team by organizing office operations and procedures.

·        Review and approve supply requisitions.

·        Research, explore and study different travel options for employees’ business travels. This will include finding the best rates for flights, hotels, business dinners, etc.

·        Act as the point person for maintenance, mailing, supplies, shipping, equipment and errands.

·        Partner with Human Resources to maintain office policies as necessary.

 

Sales and Marketing Support 60%

·        Interact with small business and Enterprise customers in order to provide an excellent customer experience.

·        Work closely with Beacon Broadband’s Engineering Department and Coos Curry’s GIS Team to ensure Beacon Broadband maintains the various databases of customer information.

·        Distribute active Homes Passed territory to direct sales personnel and monitor sales activity.

·        Track actual vs budgeted sales activities. Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.

·        Prepare commission reports and provide relevant documentation to the Payroll Department.

None.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing systems and fax machines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at one time.

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, and typical work hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Ability to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays may be required. Primary location is in Brookings; however, business needs may require working events and is subject to change.

TRAVEL

Occasional travel throughout the Beacon Broadband service territory.

QUALIFICATIONS

·High School Diploma

·Previous sales administration experience preferred

·Telecommunications experience preferred

 

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

·Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, data entry, and internet.

·Must use good judgement and discretion and be able to keep information confidential.

·Reliable transportation for getting to work.

·Must be free from illegal drugs and THC; may be subject to random and /or suspicion testing.
