POSITION OVERVIEW
KKR is seeking a Senior Manager or Vice President for its Operating Strategy & Development (“OSD”) Team. Our hire will engage on end to end strategy execution across our business functions.
Projects are expected to be varied, and have recently included:
- Implementing and executing a new data strategy that overhauls interaction model with private equity portfolio companies and provides enhanced reporting for investment teams
- Rollout and operationalization of new investment products and investor experiences in collaboration with product, client, operations, and technology teams
- Reorganizing and modernizing an operations sub-team to accommodate 700% team growth
- Standing up a co-invest platform for Credit & Markets business, allowing KKR internal capital to be invested alongside deals
- Reunderwriting of cash management process for roughly 200k cash line items per year, including request for proposal, contract negotiation, implementation, and ongoing monitoring
OSD TEAM OVERVIEW
The team is a cross-functional internal consulting group tasked with strategic initiatives, focusing on process re-engineering, technology implementation, and scalability. The team is comprised of ten people in San Francisco, New York, and Dublin, and reports to the Global Head of Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with members of our Operations, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Trading, Investment, Risk and various other teams drive change to key business processes
- Develop and execute and present on project plans including key milestones and execution plans, including current challenges, recommended changes to process, technology, data, and governance
- Project management throughout planning and execution of initiatives
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
A successful candidate typically will have 10 years of relevant experience in financial services or alternative asset management. Backgrounds in consulting, corporate strategy, change management, or similar are targeted but not required.
- Experience working in or servicing an alternative asset manager or financial institution
- Knowledge of trading operations systems (Geneva, Everest, VPM, Dimension, Eze, etc) a plus, especially within credit, bank loans, and/or high yield
- Strong project management skills and experience: Delivery-focused with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage expectations and deadlines
- Demonstrated problem solving experience providing business insight and recommendations from data
- Accounting experience desired: CPA, work experience, or undergraduate degree
