Oracle APPS & Database Administrator (Oracle /SQL)

TLDR

Maintain high-availability Oracle and SQL Server ERP databases across on-prem and cloud in a global IT ecosystem, focusing on reliability, performance, and security.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will administer, maintain, and support Oracle E-Business Suite environments and enterprise database systems across Oracle and SQL Server platforms, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. You will be responsible for both operational stability and continuous optimization of database infrastructure.

  • Manage Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2.x) application and database tiers, ensuring smooth operations and system availability
  • Perform Oracle DBA activities including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, cloning, and migrations
  • Manage backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes using Oracle RMAN and related tools
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize database performance using AWR, ADDM, and SQL tuning techniques
  • Support SQL Server and Azure SQL databases, including setup, maintenance, performance tuning, and backup/recovery
  • Support OCI-hosted Oracle databases and ERP workloads in hybrid cloud environments
  • Ensure compliance with enterprise security, architecture, and operational standards

  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience in Oracle database administration, ERP environments, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, along with the ability to manage complex production systems independently.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline
    • 8–10+ years of experience in Oracle DBA roles with strong exposure to Oracle E-Business Suite
    • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for hosting databases and ERP workloads
    • Solid experience as a SQL Server DBA, including administration of Microsoft SQL Server environments
    • Strong understanding of database architecture, performance optimization, backup/recovery, and security best practices
    • Experience working in hybrid environments (on-premise + cloud such as OCI and Azure)
    • Oracle and/or Microsoft certifications are an advantage
    • Strong production support experience with high-availability systems
    • Analytical mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail
