Partner Development Manager, Go.Compare
Go.Compare joined the Future Plc family in 2021. Go.Compare was originally launched by a team of insurance experts in November 2006. Based since the beginning in Newport, South Wales, we were the first comparison site to focus on product features rather than just listing the prices. Our aim was to help people make better-informed decisions when buying their insurance. We’re here to help our customers make the right choices - so we’re the only comparison site with BIBA accreditation and membership of the Insurance Fraud Bureau.
The partnerships team are responsible for the commercial and legal relationship with our Home Services and Personal finance partners. The role requires a commercially focussed leader with an analytical mindset to initiate, build and manage effective relationships with a range of UK based companies - from innovative start-up’s to multinational Plc’s.
What you'll be doing...
- To create, consistently review and deliver agreed partner plans and balanced scorecard KPIs. To act as the key interface to the rest of the business for a selection of partners. Manage a group of Tier 1 partners and ensure we optimize financial performance whilst driving mutual value.
- To lead day to day management and portfolio development of Home Services and Personal Finance partners on panel.
- Support the delivery of the company strategy and vision, identify, and deliver new opportunities via panel or product development.
- The role requires a strong understanding of the UK Home Services and Personal Finance marketplace and an appreciation of the role played by price comparison businesses and outsourced managed service providers / third party intermediaries.
- To secure meaningful, productive relationships this role will require regular face-to-face interaction and external meetings. There will be an expectation to travel within the UK and the role holder will be expected to be a professional ambassador for the Go.Compare brand at industry or social events.

- The role requires experience of managing strategic relationships
- Experienced in developing and managing partnerships with a strong track record of growing revenues and strategic innovation.
- Ability to build senior relationships and influence cross-functionally; coordinating and leading executive level meetings and implementing business plans.
- Ability to lead value based negotiations that deliver exceptional results. Can demonstrate a broad understanding of alternative and often complex commercial models.
- Previous experience in identifying and delivering new business opportunities to market.
- A strong understanding of developing, agreeing and maintaining commercial contracts.
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office tools & Google applications
- Previous experience of working in a key account or relationship management role
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong commercial knowledge and understanding
