About The Role

The right candidate for the Payroll and Commissions Specialist role will be energized by a fast-paced, high-growth environment, combined with a collaborative culture. We are looking for a highly motivated Payroll and Commissions Specialist who will report to the Senior Manager, Accounting and will be responsible for payroll, calculating commissions and assisting our Accounting team as needed. Additionally, the role will drive efficiencies, standardization, and scale within a growing organization.

What You Will Do

During the First Month:

• Learn about Niche by meeting with various team members to learn more about our company through our Onboarding meetings
• Train on our commission and payroll processes
• Develop an understanding about our company, customers, and product offerings
• Learn the Accounting (and related) systems including Salesforce, Paylocity and Intacct

Within 3 Months:

• Take ownership of commission and payroll processes and look for ways to improve and streamline. Commission plans can be cumbersome and complicated, therefore this requires someone very analytical and detail oriented and not afraid of a challenge.
• Assist the Accounting team with ad-hoc requests and other areas of need.

Within 6 Months:

• Have a deep knowledge of our company, products and accounting 

Within 12 Months:

• Expand scope of responsibility within functions and across functions
• Become a reliable, go-to and trusted business partner and team member

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or equivalent
• 2+ years of worked related experience in accounting/finance
• Proficiency with SalesForce
• High level of proficiency with MS Excel and Google Sheets
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct a plus but not a requirement
• Strong analytical skills 
• Highly organized, with good time management and prioritization skills, acute attention to detail, works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Self-starter with proven ability to research information, problem-solve and coordinate projects and initiatives
• Adaptable, versatile, and able to work in a fast paced and adapting environment
• Excited to work in a culture of measurability and continuous optimization
