We are looking for a detail oriented, tech savvy individual who will be responsible for our day-to-day internal payroll operations. What it is like to Work with Gusto

Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:

  • Prepare and process domestic multi-state, semi-monthly and bi-weekly payrolls for over 3000+ exempt and nonexempt employees.
  • Process off-cycle terminations and supplemental wage transactions.
  • Process quarter end tax adjustments in Workday.
  • Process quarter end tax adjustments in Workday.
  • Record and reconcile equity transactions.
  • Respond to internal employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner and help fulfill any reporting requests.
  • Work closely with our internal business partners (HR, Benefits, etc.) to process and/or resolve any payroll related discrepancies or cross functional program transactions.
  • Help maintain data accuracy in relevant business systems.
  • Provide support for our annual 401(K), Workers' Comp., and financial audits.
  • Fine tune internal procedures to help maintain proper internal controls and increase payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties and assignments within the Payroll department on an ad hoc basis.

Here’s what we're looking for:

  • 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
  • Workday experience is required.
  • Can provide the highest level of customer service to our employees.
  • Critical thinking mindset and strong prioritization skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive and private information at all times.
  • Comfortable communicating in a very professional manner to employees at all levels of the org and has solid written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated intermediate skill level in Excel.
  • Ability to learn new business systems easily.
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting or Business is a plus.

Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $60,000 - $74,000 in Denver & most remote locations, and $75,000 - $92,000 for San Francisco & New York. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
