Payroll Specialist

ReliaQuest is seeking a Payroll Specialist who would assist the Payroll team with running payroll for 1000+ employees across the US, Ireland, UK, Canada, and India. This position will also be responsible for reviewing and processing electronic expense report submissions from employees and ensuring compliance with the company’s travel policies.

The everyday hustle:

  • Organize and enter payroll inputs/adjustments for bi-weekly and monthly multi-state and international payrolls for salaried and hourly employees and ensure the overall accuracy of employee data.
  • Process termination and other off cycle payments
  • Liaise with the People Business Partner team on an ongoing basis to ensure the processing of new hires, promotions, and terminations is accurate and timely.
  • Produce detailed data for various external audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Perform regular internal payroll audits
  • Provide business insights using payroll and travel data and analysis
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of payments against the reported data
  • Assist with year-end payroll reporting including preparation and delivery of W-2’s to employees.
  • Manage travel administration, travel bookings, and related expenses and provide support to operations with guest, customer, candidate, and new hire bookings
  • Review Expense Reports for accuracy and for adherence to policy.
  • Train new hires on payroll procedures and timelines.
  • Collaborate with finance, benefits, compliance, legal, accounting, and training, on related job functions/projects

Do you have what it takes? 

  • 0-2 years of experience with processing payroll.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong level of customer service.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Deal tactfully and courteously with employees and other staff when explaining payroll policies.
  • Maintain confidential information to ensure privacy of employee records.
  • Propose creative thinking and innovative solutions.
  • Ability to meet deliverables in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree or CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred.
  • Knowledge of Workday payroll and expense reports preferred.
