The Role
We’re looking for an outstanding person to lead People and Talent at carwow. You will set and lead the People and Talent strategy and help constantly improve the culture of the company.
You’ll be a key part of the Executive team, reporting directly to the CEO and Founder.
We’re growing quickly so you’ll be able to offer up expertise on scaling, creating processes and coach senior managers along the way. You will understand the values and ethos of our business and be happy to challenge proposals or behaviours that don’t align with them! You don’t mind ambiguity and can guide the team through it with a sense of purpose.
Key Responsibilities
You will set the strategy for:
- Performance Management and coaching to make sure we get the best out of our team
- Attracting and hiring great people (with the support of the Head of talent)
- Learning and Development including succession planning and career development
- Employee Engagement to make sure we have a great and motivated team
- Rewards and Benefits ensuring that all reward and benefits are managed effectively and remain in line with the current and future needs of our business
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Culture and Values
- Employer Branding (together with Head of Talent)
You will:
- Set company wide processes to hire great people and allow them to excel
- Coach our Executives and be responsible for partnering with our People Managers
- Lead planning for future organisational structures
- Manage Head of Talent, People Partners and Exec PA/Office Manager
- Explore best practices from other companies
- Constantly ask how can we make it better
Requirements
- You can demonstrate experience leading, motivating and developing a People Team and People Strategy at a later stage company
- You have previous experience scaling at a fast-growing company (hopefully companies)
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication skills - you have outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as keen listening skills with the ability to be persuasive and influence key stakeholders as needed on different topics
- Excellent academic background
- You are a great coach and mentor
- You display great passion and radiate enthusiasm
- You are approachable
- You are happy to challenge stakeholders at any level
