We’ve experienced an exceptional period of growth as our group of companies continues to expand globally at a rapid pace and we continue to disrupt the health industry. To continue on this trajectory, we're seeking a People Consultant to join our growing People Operations team.

The main purpose of the People Consultant will be to provide HR advisory and support in all generalist people activities for our US based employees. This will include onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits, compensation, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

HR Generalist Support

  • Operate as the US departmental HR expert, to advise, guide, and support employees through our people processes and procedures, whilst identifying opportunities and mitigating risk.
  • Provide first line advice and recommendations for resolution of daily people issues and support on a range of People projects and issues (employee relations, resourcing, organisation development, training, pay and benefits, performance management) across our employees with the VP and Head of People Operations.
  • Own frequent audits of People's activities to ensure compliance with local legislation.
  • Manage all new starter information/documents in accordance with local compliance and legislation.
  • Manage our on-boarding and off-boarding processes, working closely with managers across the business to ensure a great and consistent experience for our people.
  • Advise and support employees on changes including relocation, immigration, leave, and day-to-day workplace support.
  • Help to maintain our employee handbooks, people pages, and policies to ensure they are up to date with current employment legislation and internal changes.
  • Assist when needed with the implementation of the performance management process that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
  • Support and assist on our Diversity, Equality & Inclusion (DEI) and CSR initiatives and efforts across the organisation.

Company Culture, Engagement and Wellbeing

  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly using the appropriate resources within the People Department to support.
  • Continuously drive improvements in tools and policies through external market trends, insight, and internal best practices.
  • Manage all exit interviews and employee engagement insight in the US to analyse how we can continue to improve as an employer of choice.
  • Coordinate with VP of People, Head of People Operations and outside counsel when and if required on immigration and visa applications.
  • Conduct and collate engagement insight, on-boarding, and exit interviews in order to analyse how we can continue to improve as an employer of choice and feed into new collateral.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of compliance requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee all US payroll processes to ensure employees are paid on time and correctly.
  • Support managers with professional advice and guidance on all sickness absence welfare issues, including trigger points, sickness review meetings, occupational health referrals and outcomes, including workplace adjustments as required.

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in a People generalist role.
  • Education to degree level in a business/HR relevant subject is desirable.
  • Proven experience in supporting and advising managers across a range of HR issues including complex casework and projects.
  • Experience of carrying out detailed ER investigations is an advantage.
  • Strong experience of working with best practice People policy and procedure.
  • Practical experience of current employment legislation and best practices across different locations would be beneficial.
  • Experience setting up internal people policies, systems, and operational procedures and improvements in a growing company.
  • Experience of working in a dynamic and changing workplace environment.
  • Experience in working within Tech a startup is an advantage.
