Role at a Glance
Sitting at the heart of the People Operations Team, the People Operations Specialist is responsible for staying up to date and knowledgeable in all areas of People Operations and serves as the point of contact to all employees on People operations. The People Operations Specialist will also be responsible for payroll and benefits administration. Forming partnerships across the organization, this role will deliver high-value support aligned with Gecko’s business objectives, mission and values. In collaboration with the Director of People, they will provide subject matter expertise in several of the functional areas of HR in order to answer employee inquiries, facilitate effective resolutions with internal and external customers, execute against daily, quarterly, and annual metrics, and help implement new processes.
What you will do
- Manage Payroll and Benefits programs for all Gecko Employees
- Activity manage and maintain the HRIS, and help as we navigate a potential new implementation
- Execute the day-to-day tasks associated with the company's compliance requirements such as EEO-1 reporting, Non-Discrimination Testing, ACA reporting, etc.
- Nurture vendor relationships
- Administer and audit the 401k program
- Analyze data and metrics and compile critical reports
- Respond and optimize our Jira help center to automate processes
- Assist in building and scaling internal framework for the People Operations Team
- Manage internal HR Ops audit and compliance
- Maintain employee records
- Primary point of contract for employee inquiries
- Assist with all onboarding and offboarding of Gecko Employees
- Other duties as assigned
About You
- Payroll and benefits and generalist experience is preferred, but not required
- Experience in a high-growth environment with competing priorities and urgent timelines
- Start-up and expansion experience a plus
- Strong project management experience and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated experience with internal customer service
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and regulations pertaining to benefits, compensation, payroll, and leave of absence administration; i.e., FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, EEO, etc.
NYC Pay Transparency Disclosure:
Salary Range: $70,000 to $120,000 annually plus equity and perks.
This salary range is based on the current available market data, and represents the expected salary range for this role. Gecko Robotics has minimal hierarchy and few titles, but has broad ranges of experience represented within roles.
