Your mission will involve: 

• Collaborating with the global People team to build the People function for APAC by developing strong relationships with,local managers and employees (Lunauts)
• Applying your in-depth understanding of the employee life cycle and local cultural norms to ensure you are tailoring our people experiences within Luno to be the best they can be locally
• Delighting our candidates as the person responsible for the full recruitment life cycle for our roles in the APAC region (existing markets)
• Proactively identifying barriers to high performance and engagement and creating  solutions, in partnership with management and internal stakeholders (onboarding, setting new starters up for success, development, moves, offboarding etc)
• Suggest & execute initiatives or ideas to build upon our culture, including creating a trusted community of Lunauts who are focused on one mission, one team outcomes 
• Actively working towards improving employee engagement in partnership with management, employees and stakeholders
• Supporting your business units with change management and company wide initiatives such as performance management

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a HR Generalist role, preferably in a fast paced, changeable working environment
• Experience with establishing a regional HR function from the ground up would be an advantage
• A calm and approachable attitude, with the ability to adapt your interpersonal style as required 
• Great attention to detail 
• Ability to utilize your expertise to give consistent, pragmatic and fair advice 
• Proven experience in providing guidance and support with regards to employee relations within Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines
• Ability to coach and advise managers on effective leadership behaviours 
• Experience with people analytics, process improvements and policy development

In your first six months, you will:

• Partner with management across the entire employee journey, including setting new starters up for success, create engagement action plans, embed continuous feedback mechanisms, localise performance management, ensure we have efficient administrative processes, and develop wellbeing and recognition initiatives
• Support and lead recruitment efforts in the region 
• Support, and be involved in the wider People Team’s roadmap of projects as part of our mission to upgrade the world of work
