People Systems Manager

About the Role

The Manager, People Systems is responsible for partnering with functional stakeholders on the People team to understand organizational strategy and People initiatives, support intake of core HCM configuration requests, and coordinate and lead delivery of the core HCM project roadmap. This hands-on technical role demands excellent knowledge of HR business processes and methodologies, along with a strong background in employee data standards and reporting strategy. The candidate will have direct hands on experience in HCM process design, configuration and implementation, as well as a host of other tools.

This role also provides strong leadership to a team of analysts supporting the delivery of core HCM solutions, as well as coordination with partner consultants. Additionally, this role leverages expertise in core system infrastructure to contribute to cross-functional systems initiatives. The ideal candidate has excellent collaboration, problem solving and advanced technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project intake, consult with cross-functional stakeholders to establish prioritization, and manage the core HCM project roadmap within the broader People Systems and People Program roadmaps

  • Oversee and execute end-to-end implementation of core HCM, onboarding, time tracking, absence, reporting, and security solutions in various HRIS systems, including Workday

  • Collaborate with leaders of other functional areas within People Systems to ensure consistent and effective design and implementation of cross-functional solutions

  • Emphasize scalability and sustainability in all design decisions

  • Provide guidance to functional People leaders and leaders of other functional areas within People Systems to ensure best practices and optimization of core infrastructure

  • Adhere to compliance standards, including thorough documentation of requirements, testing, and approvals

  • Configure and administer security and permissions to comply with policies and procedures

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead optimization efforts

  • Provide guidance and recommendations to functional People teams for adoption of system enhancements and future system capabilities

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting HRIS configuration, including Workday

  • Experience leading end-to-end system implementations, including project management, issue management, communication and change management.

  • Excellent knowledge of HR, Payroll & Benefits processes, procedures and best practices

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure situations
