We are seeking experienced Personal Care & Disability Support Workers to support participants with high-level personal care needs, including bowel management and enema care, across the Wollongong region.
This is a high-priority recruitment due to changes in the existing workforce. These roles are not suitable for entry-level workers.
Applicants must have availability across at least 4 days per week and be able to commit to a minimum of 15–20 hours per week.
About the Role
You will be supporting participants with:
- High-level personal care needs
- Bowel management routines (including enemas) - this qualifies $38.34 per hour pay rate
- Manual Handling
- Limited independence with daily living tasks
- Insulin administration

Ongoing hygiene, infection control, and dignity requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level personal care, including hygiene, toileting, and dressing
- Perform bowel care and enema administration in line with care plans
- Maintain strict infection control standards
- Assist with meal preparation and domestic tasks
- Support safe transfers and basic manual handling
- Maintain accurate, objective documentation
- Communicate professionally with the support team and management
- Prioritise participant dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience with bowel care and enemas (mandatory)
- Strong experience providing personal care to participants with high support needs
- Ability to commit to 4+ days availability
- Ability to work 15–20+ hours per week
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
