POSITION SUMMARY:
The Planner will drive our business through managing the sales, receipts, inventory and budget for key apparel categories and ensuring the Buying Teams have clarity over their budget and performance by category. They’ll play a lead role in hindsight reporting for the business, providing cross-functional teams valuable insight to maximize future sales opportunities.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, THIS IS WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE AS OUR PLANNER:
- Within 30 days you’ll meet the team, acclimate yourself to our systems and learn about the Planning model as well as start to update some key reporting and analyze the business.
- Within 60 days you’ll take responsibility for planning your categories for 6 months out and become the point person for the buying team in your area.
- Within 90 days you will be integrated into Planning team projects and begin forecasting for your categories.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- Drive business through actionable conclusions.
- Manage Sales, Receipts and Turns on a category level. Work with the Director of Planning on bottoms up forecasting, identifying opportunity or risk to the top down forecast being presented.
- Monitor to ensure all Departments remain within their approved budget monthly, and do not overspend. While offering constant recommendations if inventory needs arise.
- Weekly OTB updates, while maintaining daily forecasting tools and monitoring proposed budget spend, work with buying team on monthly budget spend to ensure priorities are presented with emphasis on the largest ROI’s.
- Reports weekly, monthly and quarterly per Region with selling recaps (Northern, Southern) or on an ad-hoc basis.
- Implement new reporting tools from various systems, ideally automating the data to open up time for analysis.
COMMERCIAL AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- 2-4 years of experience within apparel planning or related field required
- Bachelors Degree required
- 2-4 years of experience using Shopify, Netsuite, and Inventory Planner or similar softwares preferred
- High proficiency in Excel
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, high volume environment
- Data obsessed- accuracy means everything to you
- Positive, optimistic attitude towards problem solving

SALARY RANGE: $78k - $99k
