Platform Operations Specialist

Core responsibilities

• Initiate and process reports of open-source threats against Zerofox  customers.  Processing includes contacting networks hosting malicious content and pursuing removal of that content from the Internet.
• Efficiently track the process of unresolved cases to ensure their successful completion or escalate to the appropriate individuals or organizations based on established guidelines and procedures. 
• Proactively embrace and take on project assignments that may include researching specific topics or areas of interest relevant to customer needs or in support of senior analyst/manager tasks.
• Acquire and maintain extensive knowledge of common Internet protocols, technology, concepts and applications.
• Maintain and sustain high proficiency in outside searching and collection techniques in order to identify service providers and contacts relevant to Internet threats and targets.
• Take ownership and effectively track current security news and industry events related to cyber attacks, network intrusions, malware development and software vulnerabilities.
• Provide your excellent communications skills, verbal, written, listening and presentation, to provide timely reports on current and ongoing investigations.
• Assert your proactive professional work style to achieve development through company training and by seeking new opportunities to maintain and grow relevant knowledge and skill sets. 
• Independently assert yourself to identify and communicate enhancement opportunities and improvement ideas for the department’s operations. 

Requirements

• Previous experience and / or relevant coursework in cyber security
• Exceptional attention to detail and thoroughness
• Ability to learn quickly; can grasp technical terms and concepts quickly
• Availability and willingness to work an alternative work schedule as needed, including partial weekends
• Excellent communications skills, written, verbal, listening and presentation, using effective English communication skills, presenting clear and concise concepts and solutions. Demonstrated ability to gain mutual trust, reliability using independent initiative and motivation.
• Determination and ability to produce superior work while managing work and meeting aggressive deadlines
• Strong aptitude for technology and knowledge of Internet concepts:  Basic understanding of HTML and/or Web site design, IM chat language, knowledge of Usenet, IRC, the blogsphere, RSS, social networking sites, auction sites, and other Web-based discussion mediums are desirable, but not required.
• Previous successful experience analyzing and removing malicious domains, IP abuses, fraud, and / or brand protection is strongly preferred.
