Principal AI and Data Engineer

This year, we continue down that path of high growth and high impact. Our office is headquartered in Redmond, WA and are hiring across the nation for remote team members. 

About this role: 

We are looking for strong AI/ML and Data engineers who share our passion for helping people manage their health and transforming the healthcare industry to join us in this exciting mission. This is a unique opportunity to be one of the early members and a key contributor of the new, top-notch AI and Data team that we are growing. You will report to the Chief AI and Data Officer, and work closely with Executives, Product, Marketing, Customer, Engineering, Pharmacy/Clinical Experts, and our clients, to innovate and fast develop state of art end-to-end intelligent AI-First solutions to bring customer centric, prescription personalization to the whole new level. It is a green-field, a very unique opportunity to build amazing products ground-up. 

What you will do: 

  • Contribute to building exceptional healthcare AI/ML Engineering team with the right culture, talent pool, share the same intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and passion. 
  • Play a key role in building the AI/ML/Data engineering vision and roadmap to support Prescryptive products and solutions to provide the best consumer experiences. 
  • Work closely with Product, Data Science, Engineering, Pharmacy/Clinical Experts, in-house and external pharmacy/healthcare subject matter experts to build the platform and AI/ML solutions meeting the business objectives and customers’ needs with rapid progress, agile development. 
  • Bring in the engineering rigor and discipline in design, code review, and devops.  
  • Build Prescryptive AI and Data Healthcare platform on Databricks Lakehouse Platform, based on Data Lake House architecture, include data ETL and pipelining, MLFlow with tracking functions, model storage and deployment, model registry to store and manage models’ full lifecycle stage transitions, from staging to production; MLFlow autologging, feature store, MLFlow, Databricks SQL, and Databricks workflows and jobs 
  • Work with AI and BI data science and AI and data engineering teams building foundation components, including Healthcare Knowledge Graph (HKG), Deep Learning/Transformer for Recommendation, healthcare/medication personalization, decision support, NLP for healthcare document processing, and Conversational AI for engagement. 
  • Develop AI-First solutions for dynamic pricing, bidding, shopping, recommendation, search, smart routing, payment, and Rx personalization.  
  • Build feedback loops to track AI and Data product/feature usage, quality, and impact on end users, continuously improve to provide the best customer experience.  
  • Build Orchestrator to allow data science, engineering, and product experiment, tuning features, or try out new ideas.   

What you will bring:   

  • Strong software engineering design skills, super coder in Python, Java, Scala, etc. 
  • Ability to work with executive leadership, product, data science, engineering, marketing and customers to translate consumer needs into actionable and creative work items. 
  • A thinker and a doer, a proven problem solver with deep understanding the underlying complexity. 
  • Relentless drive for engineering excellence, with proven track record to deliver solutions with high scalability, high performance, and low cost with rapid progress and high revenue impact. 
  • Effective in coaching junior members, capable of working with the team to achieve the impossible. Excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Promote open, transparent, and inclusive culture; customer obsession; and bias to action. 
  • Team player, excellent interpersonal skills, and great verbal and written communication skills. 
  • BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, or related hardcore engineering fields.  
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including 4+ years in Data and AI/ML engineering, AI platform, Databricks, AI/ML products. 
  • Extensive experience and working knowledge in data ETL, building AI/Data platform, experience with Databricks is a plus, AI/ML and BI data solutions, Deep Learning, Knowledge Graph, NLP, classification, and optimization; Graph Neural Networks skills is a plus. 
  • Experience with Azure cloud (and/or AWS/GCP) in Storage/Compute/DB(SQL, NoSQL, Graph DB), Kubernetes, Spark, Docker, Flint, Kafka, MLFlow, MLOps implementation and optimization, Pytorch, Spark MLib, Scikit-learn, Apache MXNet, Jupyter, Splunk, Eleatic Search, Grafana, A/B testing, Multi-armed Bandit, Block Chain solutions, and more.

Prescryptive is committed to fair pay practices. The projected annual salary for this position is $135,000 to $180,000.   When preparing an offer, we consider the candidates resume, experience, interview feedback, internal equity, and location.
