Principal Product Owner (Technology Driven Role)
TLDR
Bridge business stakeholders and engineering to drive end-to-end product lifecycle for large-scale digital and AI-driven transformation initiatives.
Accountabilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and software delivery teams, ensuring alignment on product goals and priorities.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to capture and translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and process flows.
- Manage, refine, and prioritize product requirements in collaboration with product management and cross-functional teams.
- Analyze complex business processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and reengineering.
- Define and document system dependencies, integration flows, and data mapping requirements across platforms.
- Collaborate with project managers to plan scope, timelines, resources, and delivery milestones while managing risks and issues.
- Support Agile delivery by grooming backlogs, facilitating sprint planning, and ensuring clear communication across teams.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure delivered solutions meet business expectations and quality standards.
- Work closely with QA teams to validate functionality and ensure alignment with specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product ownership and business analysis.
- 10+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar IT product delivery role.
- Strong experience working with web and mobile platforms, including API-driven architectures.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead requirement gathering sessions and translate business needs into technical and functional documentation.
- Experience creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to support solution design.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate and improve complex business processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work across multiple teams and priorities in high-pressure environments.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working in cross-functional, team-oriented environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
