Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

Implant and anneal segments of the production line form the fundamental building blocks of the transistor and require extreme precision. Our Equipment Technicians work on state of the art particle accelerators and rapid thermal processing equipment. We are looking for members to join our inclusive team and take Ion Implantation to the next level!.

Specific Job Duties:

  • Implant equipment technicians maintain our fleet of production tools to support world-class foundry operations 24/7. We prioritize safety, learning, and having fun. You will continuously encounter technical issues that challenge and sharpen your skills.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, improvements, upgrades, and equipment installation.
  • Incorporate learning into SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and troubleshooting guides.
  • Monitor equipment status and performance. Identify signals that provide early warning of hardware/process issues and establish controls to prevent unscheduled tool interruptions.
  • Troubleshoot issues using structured problem-solving techniques that identify true root cause.
  • Drive improvements related to quality, efficiency, defect reduction, and cost of ownership to achieve targeted business objectives.

    Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required:

  • High School diploma is required
  • Technical degree or military technical experience preferred
  • 2+ years industrial manufacturing or similar experience required
  • Semiconductor experience with knowledge of 300mm AMAT VIISta, Axcelis Paradigm, Nissin Exceed, AMAT Centura, AMAT Vantage, Mattson Millios, and Veeco LSA platforms preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:

  • Strong analytical and mechanical problem solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications, maintenance manuals, and have familiarity with industry precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members on complex and ambiguous problems.
  • Willingness to try new things knowing that failure is just a learning opportunity
