Roles and Responsibilities:

Job Summary/Overview:

The role is a buyer position within the Indirect Procurement Department with a focus on the IT/System Technology related fields reporting to Supervisor/Manager. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for supporting and executing on professional procurement responsibilities (detailed below) for primarily indirect segments related to Infrastructure Technology. This includes sourcing, negotiation, and working with internal customers and external vendors to reach mutually agreeable and cost efficient business agreements. Role requires the ability to successfully manage relationships both externally (with vendor, 3PL, etc.) and internally. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, organized, and comfortable working with systems (SAP, internal procurement systems). This role is more specific to project based procurement working with support teams to find best and most cost efficient solutions for the company (subject to change based on company needs).

Specific Job Duties:

• Primary responsibilities include sourcing, negotiate pricing/terms, facilitate procurement workflow, vendor selection/management, contract revisions/renewals, and regular reporting to management
• Manage and drive the Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quotation (RFQ) process for indirect procurement activities using Samsung systems.
• Work with internal customers to understand requirements, define scopes of work (SOW), and drive cost efficiencies.
• Support adoption of new procurement systems and processes including internal customer support and guidance
• Follow and enforce rules and procedures to support new systems and processes for indirect procurement
• Issue and manage the PO process and tracking of urgent items through to delivery
• Facilitate resolution of invoicing issues and order discrepancies

Skills and Qualifications:

Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 2 - 5 years of related experience
• CPM/CPSM/CPIM certification a plus

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools

• Proficient with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Experience with IT / Data Center Procurement a plus
• Experience with SAP MM Module a plus
• Clear and concise communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong business acumen and sense of ownership
• Analysis experience and excellent people skills are highly beneficial
