Product Applications Engineer Intern

Astera Labs is seeking highly motivated Intern to join their Product Applications team at their Santa Clara Design Center in Silicon Valley.

If you are:
• A Junior going into Senior year or Senior graduating by the end of this year
• Have strong academic and technical background in Electrical Engineering
• Someone with professional attitude, ability to prioritize a dynamic list of multiple tasks, and work with minimal guidance and supervision
• Strong in analytical skills, self-motivated, and a challenge taker
• Authorized to work in the US and start immediately

What we are looking for:
• Firsthand lab experience with debug equipment like oscilloscopes, pattern generators, or logic analyzers.
• Interest in high-speed signal concepts like signal leveling, BER, eye diagrams, PCIe or Ethernet.
• Experience with scripting languages and automation such as Python or Linux BASH.
• Familiarity with computer/server architecture and ability to identify CPU, RAM, PCIe slots, etc.
• Understand the proper handling of ESD sensitive PCBs and ICs.
• Technical writing skills to generate clear, precise documentation including datasheets, application notes, and similar guides for internal and customer-facing audiences.
