ROLE SUMMARY:
The Product Development Manager will oversee the development of non razor products (NRPs) from inception to formula approval and first production in partnership with the Director of Product Development. This position will work closely with cross-functional partners to develop briefs, timelines, budgets and schedules for all new and reformulation development and then manage the development cycle within those parameters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help identify product category opportunities to facilitate the continued growth of our grooming portfolio globally
- Oversee the development of product briefs that include ingredient, performance and benchmarking information
- Manage and report all testing/feedback for products in development
- Facilitate cross-departmental coordination to ensure crucial aspects of development are communicated
- Ability to apply strategic thinking through ideation, conceptualization, and execution
- Partner with cross-functional specialists and external resources to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory oversight for formulations
- Attend industry events, trade shows and meetings with suppliers to maintain knowledge of new trends and technologies
- Attend Pilot and Production Runs as determined
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ yrs within cosmetic or personal care industry
- Passion for personal care, innovation, market and industry trends
- Driven to identify opportunities for creativity & innovation
- Proven track record of successful product launches
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Experience managing contract manufacturer and supplier relationships
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and partnership
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with a high level of detail in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to transfer between collaborative and autonomous work with ease.
POSITION TYPE:
This is a full-time exempt position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is a hybrid role for our Headquarters in Los Angeles.
SALARY:
$110,000-$120,000
