Product Manager - Financial Operations
TLDR
Own and shape a sub-area of a global payments platform, defining vision and roadmap for reconciliation, disputes, FX, and settlements to optimize merchant financial operations.
- Own a dedicated sub-area of the Financial Operations product, defining its vision, roadmap, and outcomes across multiple quarters.
- Identify and frame the most important problems to solve by synthesizing merchant feedback, support data, operational issues, and system constraints.
- Define and prioritize initiatives independently, making informed trade-offs between scope, quality, technical debt, and delivery timelines.
- Write clear, detailed product specifications that account for complex edge cases such as reconciliation breaks, dispute flows, and FX scenarios.
- Partner closely with engineering teams to evaluate feasibility, technical trade-offs, and define success metrics (leading and lagging indicators).
- Drive end-to-end product delivery, including launch readiness, stakeholder alignment, and post-launch iteration based on data and feedback.
- Represent your product area internally and externally, translating operational complexity into clear product decisions and narratives.
- Proven experience owning a product area or significant feature set end-to-end, with measurable impact on business or customer outcomes.
- Strong ability to independently define problems from ambiguous or incomplete inputs without relying on fully structured briefs.
- Demonstrated experience making autonomous trade-offs across scope, quality, and technical complexity.
- Solid technical fluency, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams on architecture, feasibility, and integration decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to align cross-functional teams and surface risks early.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to define, track, and evaluate product success metrics.
- Nice to have: experience in payments, fintech, or financial operations domains such as reconciliation, disputes, ledgers, treasury, or FX.
