Every year, billions of dollars, hundreds of megatons of carbon and millions of person-hours are wasted because the companies who ship goods and the companies who carry them aren’t upfront about their needs and abilities. Our platform finds ways for buyers and sellers to contract binding commitments for plannable and predictable freight and allows those contracts to be traded when needs change. What does the Product Manager/Lead do?

The Product Manager/Lead is responsible for setting and managing the long-term vision and strategy for Leaf’s products and communicating this strategy to all relevant participants and stakeholders. They will translate that vision into a product, see that product to market and maintain both product quality and team morale in the process. The Product Manager/Lead will work alongside our CTO/engineering and marketing teams to manage the product roadmap, providing the strategies and decisions behind Leaf’s products.

As the Product Lead, you will:

  • Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action
  • Create best practices to ensure consistent, high quality products for our clients and users
  • Be the face of Leaf product(s) - be the product(s) champion, both internally and externally; act as a trusted advisor to our clients to ensure their confidence in Leaf and our ability to deliver best-in-class products and experiences; become the key evangelist of Leaf’s products and participate in press activities, conferences, discussions with thought leaders and market analysts; serve as a central hub for critical information about products, market, competitors, customers, prospects, key industry analysts, and many other constituencies
  • Continuously prioritize competing features against Leaf objectives and maintain clear and open communication about the path of the product
  • Develop strategic marketing plans for each product - help build case studies for sales materials that communicate the unique value of Leaf product(s) and follow and analyze market trends to position products
  • Ensure a cohesive product feel and a successful user experience - enforce design and brand consistency across the product, supporting a stronger brand and more intuitive experience

Requirements:

  • Experience with either a startup, scale up or high growth business
  • Expertise in communication and diplomacy
  • Product management experience and knowledge of product management methodologies and product marketing tactics
  • Unending curiosity and tenacity
  • Analytical, detail-oriented mindset
  • Experience with Jira, Asana, and G Suite is a plus
  • Proven ability to work with cross functional teams (engineering, sales, customer success, etc.) to implement strategies
  • Experience working in an agile development environment with design sprints
  • Experience working directly with designers, technical architects and engineers
