Product Manager
TLDR
Drive market-driven product strategy for a life-science portfolio, guiding ideation, development, pricing, and launches with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform market research, uncover customer needs, and develop a deep understanding of
market trends and the competitive landscape to assist in portfolio strategy for both existing
products and new product development
• Develop, as well as score and assess any submitted ideas for new products and services
• Scientific decision-making ability to act as a technical lead during development of products with
assistance from other technical experts and strategists
• Project expected revenue by analyzing trends and results, establishing pricing strategies,
recommending selling price, and monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand
• Conduct build/buy/partner analysis as part of development efforts
• Develop and deliver effective value propositions and contributes to business plan with top-level
messaging
• Ensure that all tactical marketing content presents an integrated marketing message to
Rockland customers
• Implement launch plans and marketing strategies with Marketing and Sales through web pages,
email blasts, literature, and promotions, as well as optimization of SEO, PPC and internal web
searches
• Monitor sales performance of products, collect customer feedback, and guide strategy changes
• Represent Rockland at conferences, meetings, and tradeshows
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in product marketing within life science
• Ability to interact with all levels of management
• Commercial mindset and ability to drive change
• Must be able to communicate (both orally and written) in a well-organized and professional
manner
• Highly competent with organizational, project management, and negotiating skills
• Ability to handle multiple simultaneous priorities in a high-volume work environment
• Must have the ability to work with others and maintain strong working relationships with
members of other departments
• Problem solving and multi-tasking skills
• Desire to be an integral part of a growing business
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field
• Master’s degree or PhD preferred
