We're looking for an outstanding Product Manager, technology proficient, to lead, define, and partner closely with our development teams to deliver innovative and reliable solutions for our Check Intelligence customers.
Mitek’s industry-leading Mobile Deposit product and Check Fraud Defender service. The leader should model “good” product management for the team and be a strong, principled operator. This position will have a dotted line reporting to Mitek’s product management team to ensure a common set of PM processes, tools, and systems are used throughout the entire organization. The candidate should have an abundance and growth mindset, be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to work cross-functionally to coordinate, clarify and align the rest of the organization.
You will own strategy, product planning and team management and leadership throughout the product lifecycle, including defining the product vision, gathering and prioritizing product requirements, and working closely with engineering, research, sales, marketing, customer support and customer success to productize revenue and customer satisfaction goals, as well as ensure that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. Essentially you will own the “what” for the CheckReader, Check Intelligence and Mobility product line and influence the “how”.
What will you do? (main responsabilitties)
- Define global product initiatives and work with internal project stakeholders from marketing, sales, operations, and executive management to translate business needs into a product to address the needs of the check processing market.
- Create deep and meaningful collaboration with marketing, external customers, sales, support and other stakeholders to drive product roadmaps.
- Work with designers, developers (both locally and remotely), and subject matter experts to get project requirements well-scoped, designed and built for both mobile, web, and desktop.
- Work with engineering, research, and data science to analyze data in order to optimize the product in pursuit of an improved customer experience and other performance metrics.
- Utilize Mitek standard PM and agile processes, workflows, tools and systems.
- Monitor and understand the key metrics, with an eye toward continuously improving them through ongoing product innovation.
- Establish product delivery timelines in close collaboration with the engineering team.
- Responsible for keeping on top of competitive landscapes and strategies.
- Collaborate with product marketing to understand customer needs and create external market collateral.
- Experience successfully implementing, and creating buy-in to the product management practices, systems and tools.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Track record of Customer obsession and innovation
- Demonstrated experience defining and shipping commercially successful consumer-facing products to global market segments.
- Expertise in global check operations with a focus on the U.S., United Kingdom, and European markets.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Experience presenting to C-level leadership.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (both spoken and written).
- Experience in end-to-end ownership of a product.
- Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions.
- Ability to work with remote teams.
What would be a nice-to-have (to be a perfect match)
- Fluent in French.
- Experience in managing a product that is delivered as an on-premise software application
