Product Owner (EdTech)

TLDR

Own backlog prioritization and requirements in a fast-growing EdTech product, driving data-informed delivery across education platforms with cross-functional collaboration.

Accountabilities:
  • Manage, organize, and prioritize product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business priorities and delivery goals.
  • Translate business needs into clear, structured product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Design, and Engineering teams to ensure continuous delivery of value.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, supporting planning, refinement, and removal of product-related impediments.
  • Track product execution, ensuring alignment between scope, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Define and monitor product metrics and operational indicators to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Validate delivered features to ensure they meet defined objectives and business expectations.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, ensuring transparency on progress and priorities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of product processes, tools, and delivery practices.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
    • Previous experience in EdTech companies or with educational backoffice systems is highly valued.
    • Prior experience as Product Owner, Product Analyst, or Business Analyst in agile environments.
    • Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, or other agile methodologies.
    • Proven experience in backlog management, prioritization, and requirement definition.
    • Ability to translate business needs into structured and actionable technical requirements.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
    • Analytical mindset with experience in product metrics and data-driven decision-making.
    • Familiarity with product and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello is a plus.
    • Experience with academic systems, ERP platforms, UX principles, or agile certifications is considered a strong advantage.
