  • Remote first - UK/Europe

  • Platform ownership, API/data products, B2B SaaS, stakeholder management

  • Be the product voice for our platform

  • 6+ years in product roles, with proven ability to work autonomously

We are Provenir AI, part of the Provenir group, a global fintech company with a

passion for technology and helping businesses become industry leaders. As a

leading provider of decisioning and analytics products for financial services and

other industries, we empower businesses to create innovative, digital-first

financial decisioning solutions that drive business growth.

You'll be the product owner for our platform, working across multiple product

streams including 1datapipe®, customer profiling and innovation projects. This

is a hands-on role where you'll be the product voice within the engineering

team.

The team fosters a vibrant and collaborative culture. We're looking for someone

who thrives with autonomy for this role. You'll be building the product function

as we grow, but right now this means rolling up your sleeves and doing the work

yourself.

Your Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritise the product backlog across the entire platform

  • Work directly with fully remote engineering teams to refine stories, clarify

    requirements and unblock delivery

  • Partner with the leadership teams to shape the product roadmap

  • Interface with internal stakeholders and customers to gather

    requirements and validate solutions

  • Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and technical specifications

  • Make pragmatic trade-off decisions between features, technical debt and

    operational stability

  • Track and communicate progress, managing expectations across the

    business

  • Understand our technical architecture well enough to have informed

discussions about APIs, data models and integration patterns

  • Facilitate three amigo sessions, requirement gathering workshops, and

story estimation sessions with engineering teams

Your Experience

  • 6+ years in product management or product owner roles, ideally in B2B

    SaaS or platform products

  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously without a surrounding

    product team

  • Strong technical acumen - comfortable reading API specs, understanding

data flows and discussing architecture trade-offs

  • Experience working embedded within engineering teams in an agile

environment

  • Track record of delivering complex products from discovery through to

launch

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across technical and nontechnical audiences

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

  • Up-to-date awareness of GenAI tools and technologies, with hands-on

experience using modern GenAI assistants

Although not essential, it would be great if you have experience with:

  • Fintech or financial services products

  • AI/ML products or data-intensive platforms

  • Working with data scientists or in data science environments

  • Building products for technical audiences (APIs, developer tools)

  • Working in early-stage or scale-up environments

  • spec-driven development methodologies and experience with

  • specification-first approaches to product development

What you should know about this role

This is a genuinely autonomous role. You'll be the only product person, which

means independence and impact, but also means you won't have a product

team around you for support or collaboration. If you thrive in ambiguity and like

building things from scratch, this could be ideal. If you prefer established

product processes and frameworks, it might be challenging.

You'll report to the CTO and work closely with the Director of Software

Engineering. You'll need to be comfortable with technical discussions and earn

credibility with an engineering-heavy organisation.

Interview Process

The interview process would typically be structured as follows:

  • Initial chat. This would be with a member of our recruitment team and

help to better understand your current situation, what you are looking for and any questions you may have

  • Product Interview. This will be with the CTO and engineering leadership,

covering your approach to product ownership and stakeholder

management

  • Case Study. We'll share a realistic product scenario and ask you to talk

through your approach

  • Final Interview. This will cover cultural fit, working style and how you'd

approach the first 90 days

Our employees are our top priority; we offer comprehensive health and wellness plans. You will enjoy paid time off and company holidays, flexible and remote-friendly opportunities, and maternity/paternity leave.
