Job Purpose:

The organisation has grown rapidly both organically and through acquisitions and is focused on increasing its’ online and offline market share.  New tools have been implemented to help the Management of data related to products across the different departments of the organisation (Partner Management Team, Product Marketing Team, Edition Team, Digital Team). This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to become a key player on the marketing team as product owner to contribute to drive growth and demand through optimised tools and increased products quality

We are looking for an experienced product owner. You will own the newly implemented Product Information Management tool and contribute to optimise its efficiency, its adaptation to the business transformation and integration within the Smartbox IT eco-system. This position is an exceptional opportunity for a business oriented product owner interested in transforming our approach to product management and driving our business growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owner of the Product Information Management tool
  • Be the interface between Business team (Product Marketing and Edition team) and IT team
  • Transform User needs into Business Requirements. Formalise, Prioritise, Phase them and ensure they are delivered by the IT team.
  • Define and Deliver the PIM Roadmap (from short-term fixes to enabling the long-term vision / from ergonomics to core functionalities)
  • Ensure the coordination between PIM and its directly related tools (Partner Management / Edition)
  • Working closely with the Partner Management team and Edition team to align and orchestrate the requirements
  • Working closely with the IT teams to ensure flawless and fully integrated execution between the different tools
  • Build ad-hoc reports to ensure perfect execution of on-line and off-line products (production and on-line roll-out), working closely with Business Intelligence team and Digital IT team
  • Implement Workflow tool for Edition/Studio Team

Essential Competencies/ skills :

  • Core Product Owner skills at a high level, with min 6 years of relevant experience (Able to identify user needs and translate them into business requirements)
  • Strong Project Management skills:  able to manage a multitude of parallel initiatives and experience managing multiple stakeholders
  • Great communication skills.  Ability to engage in debate and challenge with a wide variety of stakeholders of varying seniority
  • A sound business understanding and passion for it. Degree in Business Management or experience in broader business management would definitely be a plus.
  • Good data analysis skills, excel proficiency
  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree from a leading university
  • Impeccable level of spoken and written English is a requirement
