Program Manager, Field Service

Role Summary

Rivian Service Operations is seeking a Program Manager to help fulfill the goals of the broader team. This position will work closely with all areas of Field Service, Service Operations, as well as Learning and Development, Commercial Operations, Facilities, EH&S, and other teams and support ongoing programs related to Field Service Operations by leading and assisting with the execution of projects. This Program Manager role will require exceptional cross-functional interaction, attention to detail, great organizational and planning skills, program management knowledge, capability of data analysis and visualization, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects to fulfill program requirements and timelines
  • Program manage, and contribute to the creation of Field Service training programs, including new processes, video libraries, online content, and more
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with key stakeholder groups including Learning and Development, Commercial Ops, Legal, People, Recruiting, EHS, and Field Service teams to gather requirements, gain internal alignment on program development and ensure executional delivery 
  • Act as a liaison between cross-functional partners and field service teams to collect and digest feedback and implement action plans
  • Identifying areas of development within the Service organization and implementing strategies to enable scale, enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service experience 
  • Use collected feedback to analyze Field needs for training and communication; communicate feedback and trends to proper stakeholders along with recommendations for improvements
  • Drive opportunities for improvements, and lead initiatives for continuous improvement of processes, standards, systems tools and workflows
  • Build, prioritize, plan, implement, and communicate on programs
  • Utilize agile and waterfall program management process to drive program documentation, standards, training and building blocks
  • Development and execution of monthly business updates, program status updates, executive level reporting, and overall communication on Service performance across the business units 
  • Assist and support other aspects of the Service Organization as needed

Qualifications

  • 1-2+ years’ experience in project/program management
  • 1-2+ years’ experience in Service, Parts, Tooling, Supply Chain or related field
  • 4-year college/university degree or similar/equivalent work experience in Operations or related field
  • Self-starter who is goal oriented, highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to adapt to a dynamic business environment
  • Familiarity with Confluence, SmartSheets, Microsoft office, Jira, and other platforms
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to drive cross-functional projects to completion
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with data analytics platforms
  • Preferred experience in video creation and editing, script writing, and online content creation
  • Ability to develop a vision and creative ideas to communicate concepts to people using various online platforms
  • Excellent documentation and project tracking skills
  • Outstanding program management skills, with the ability to build solid cross-functional relationships, collaborate with, and influence others to drive programs to completion
  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 65%)
  • Physical exertion may be required to perform occupational tasks (sitting up to 2 or more hours at a time, standing for up to 8 or more hours a day, walking, bending, kneeling, laying, twisting, carrying, reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs).
  • Frequent use of hands for purposes of grasping and using tools correctly, entering data, writing communications, or calling customers or internal partners
  • Strong understanding of written and spoken English  

Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $83,000 - $120,000 per year (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.
