Program Manager - New Product Development (Medical Device)

We're a small team working on a phenomenal application of robotics in the fitness/wellness space, looking for someone with experience in developing complex medical equipment and machines and who is passionate about leading product design teams to help us move from prototype to product. You'll work on advanced robotics applications for a remarkable product that will make people feel great, and once you see what we’re building, you’ll immediately understand why.


Day to day, you’ll

In this role, you will need to be diligent, curious, have a clear sense of urgency, and an eagerness to push new products from concept to FDA submission.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

Education and/or Experience:

  • BS/MS degree in Engineering or Equivalent Technical Degree
  • 5+ years of experience of demonstrated project / program management experience with complex medical device R&D and / or manufacturing working with internal and external customers
  • Experience in leading key project/product development activities
    • Complete understanding of the product development life cycle from concept to launch
  • Working knowledge of FDA Quality regulations related to Class II medical devices
  • Understanding of medical device DHF, DMR, and DHR files management and documentation requirements
    • Experience driving medical device product development protocols (Design Verification/Validation/etc.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for overall program implementation of one or more medical devices
  • Works closely with all functional areas of the company and external resources and suppliers
  • Primary goals and focus will be to integrate into the company’s environment to effectively lead project teams while building positive professional relationships
  • Define project objectives, requirements, and assumptions necessary to structure a project or activity.
  • Plan, schedule, and control project activities to fulfill objectives and satisfy project requirements.
  • Develop and drive integrated project plans, aligning project tactics with project strategy.
  • Establish, maintain, and lead high performance project teams, serving as the program advocate within the company.
  • Lead, coordinate, facilitate, and motivate all associated program resources to gain alignment on program goals and deliverables.
  • Lead risk management within program teams, ensuring risks have appropriate mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Manage programs within established scope, schedule, and budget while meeting and exceeding IPM project management standards.
  • Develop and document high-level strategies for accomplishing specific project objectives.
  • Facilitate and lead effective program meetings, manage change and conflict, and develop resource planning estimates to manage project workload and productivity.
