Program Manager NPI

About the job

The New Product Introduction (NPI) program management team standardizes the way we launch products. As a member of the NPI team (reporting into the PMO at Databricks), you will lead teams in delivering technical maturity and operational readiness to launch stable, new products.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Run NPI weekly meeting for any feature launches within your Product area
  • Track the health of each launch and communicate it to relevant audiences
  • Lead teams in conducting launch retros following product launch to capture and communicate important findings for continuous improvement
  • Work with SQL queries, and use Aha/Jira/Salesforce, Smartsheet to create dashboards to track progress or gain insights on their programs.
  • Surface recommendations to improve the process as we continue to grow
  • Promote and uphold our cultural principles: be customer obsessed, be data-driven, team work makes the dream work, and own it.

What We Look For

  • 3+ years of full-time experience working on NPI programs or releasing software
  • Have experience with analytics (Excel functions and basic SQL are required - there will be a SQL interview).
  • Excellent balance of people and technical skills. Experience working and communicating with Senior Leadership
  • Experience leading team meetings, status syncs, and setting up/optimizing operations at scale for complex enterprise products (strong preference for Agile/Scrum/JIRA experience)
  • Listen well in order to create cross functional understanding to help reach the necessary decisions
