Programmatic Yield Manager
We are looking for a Programmatic Yield Manager, as a Manager of Programmatic Yield at EMPG you will be responsible for maximizing total advertising revenue across multiple markets in the Middle East and Asia. You will be the first line of defense for publisher brand safety and eliminating sales channel conflict across the business. As a yield specialist, you will own the day-to-day relationship with adtech vendors and demand partners, help design and manage the programmatic demand stack, and be the go-to expert on industry developments that impact publisher monetization. A successful yield manager is someone that is a systems thinker, deeply analytic, and is comfortable taking measured risks.
You will need to be a strong communicator in this role. The person will work with all members of the advertising team confirming alignment on strategy and monetization between sales, product, and management.
In this role, you will:
- Maximize total advertising revenue; come up with and try new ideas
- Work well with sales to avoid channel conflict
- Own vendor and demand partner relationships and ensure inclusion in alpha and beta testing, new feature rollouts, and feedback discussions that promote our interests
- Anticipate market dynamics and quickly respond to opportunities
- Monitor advertiser-level spends and identify opportunities for incremental yield
- Act as principal researcher for monetization insights for C-suite stakeholders
- Contribute to the product roadmap with product ideas, suggestions, and research
- Manage special projects related to yield from conception to final internal presentation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred
- 3 years of experience at a publisher, agency, or adtech working on biddable media with at least 1 years on the supply side
- Proficient with Google Ad Manager (GAM)
- Advanced knowledge of the adtech ecosystem including networks and exchanges
- Advanced understanding of RTB, auction dynamics, and pricing strategies
- Working knowledge of new, speculative standards such as TURTLEDOVE, SPARROW, Dovekey, PARROT, and FLEDGE
- Advanced Excel/Sheets skills
- Intermedia data visualization skills
- Basic PowerPoint/Slides and storytelling skills
- Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills a plus
- A background in statistical analysis a plus
- Self-learner and an interest in monetization including auction dynamics and the transaction mechanics behind digital advertising
- Someone who has to know how complex systems work
